Frequently Asked Questions

1.>What is LED?
LED is standed for Light Emitting Diode,a kind of semiconductor which is used to give and receive the electronic signal into infrared rays or light, using the characteristics of compound semiconductor. This is used for household appliances, remote controller, electric bulletin board, various kinds of automation appliances.
2.>What is grey level?
A calibrated sequence of grey tones, ranging from black to white. In remote sensing, electromagnetic radiation falling on a photosensitive receiver generates an electrical current proportional to the intensity of the radiation. The receiver is usually tuned to specific wavelength bands and the signal from each receiver is amplified and its intensity classified into different levels, usually 0 (black) to 256. These are the digital numbers of each of the pixel units that together make up a remotely sensed frame. In multi-spectral scanning systems, the digital numbers are classified into grey-scale bands, of which there are usually 10 to 12, but up to 256 shades of grey (brightness) may be used.
3.>What is the basical LED Terms?
Pixel Pitch is the distance between neighboring pixels.
Pixel Density is the quantity of pixels per square meter.
Pixel Configuration is the description of the consistence of a pixel, for instance, we use 1 red lamp, 1 green lamp, 1 blue lamp to compose a pixel, the pixel configuration is 1R1G1B.
4.>What is vieiwng angle &min viewing distance ?
Viewing angle is the maximum angle at which a display can be viewed with acceptable visual performance. It includes horizontal viewing angle and vertical viewing angle.
Min viewing distance is minimum distance to view the screen clear with eyes, which will be related with the pixel pitch of screen itself.
5.>How do I caculate the exact screen size ?

Example   project:
–   Model    P6     –   Screen Area:15m2            –   Proportion 4:3–   Caculation terms
–   Led module size :192X96mm
•    Step one
–   H:V=4:3,HXV=15 •    4/3 V2=15  => V=3.354        •    H=4/3 V=4.472
–   LED Modules caculation
•  H/0.192=23.29    Integer  23    •  V/0.096=34.94    Integer 35
–   Screen size
•    Dimension H=23X0.192=4.416m, V=35X0.096=3.36m Screen size  4.416X3.36=14.84m2
•    Resolution - 23X32=736,35X16=560–   Screen Resolution: 736X560
•    Proportion:736/560=1.32 closest to 4:3=1.33
6>What kind of control system is used usually ?
Re:Control system type :LINSN/ZDEC/DBstar/FullColor

7.>How long the lifetime of led display?

The operational lifetime of an led display is determined by the lifetime of the LEDs. LED Manufacturers estimate the LED lifetime to be 100,000 hours under certain operating conditions. LED Display end of lifetimes is when the frontal brightness has decreated to 50% of original brightness.
